Hello! I’m Becky!

I am a conscious parenting coach, and I am so honored to be able to walk alongside you in your journey.

I started Parenting in Process to help bridge the gap between developmental & attachment science and parenting.

My goal is to provide you with the information, tools, and support you need to make sense of yourself, your child, and your relationship with them so that you can make empowered choices about how you parent. I help parents become the confident, connected, and conscious parent they’ve always wanted to be!

I’m in it with you!

I, too, am a parent, living the ups and downs of this messy and beautiful journey of trying to give my best to my kiddo as I learn and grow alongside her.

Like you, my journey as a conscious parent is not linear. It has highs and lows, joy and struggle. There is no version of parenting where that does not exist.

As I continue to deepen my relationship with myself, my confidence and relationship with my daughter has deepened as well.

I started for her. I’m doing the inner work for me. I’m sticking with it for us.

My story:

I always wanted to be a teacher. I loved working with kids, and spent many years babysitting, nannying, teaching dance classes, and running dance camps. So when I became a kindergarten teacher, I walked in wide-eyed and ready to change the world.

During my 6-year tenure as a teacher, I dove into research around how kids really learn…through play. My time in teaching radicalized me as I constantly pushed up against the boundaries of the ways in which young children are supported. What I found was that at the crux of a child’s ability to grow to their greatest potential was always relationship and connection, not behavioral interventions.

As a teacher, I found myself constantly frustrated and longing to share the information I knew about child development with the most influential people in children’s lives…their parents. So, once I became a parent, I decided to leave teaching and channel this passion for early childhood into helping other parents.

Through my continued process of learning and self-discovery, I started to gain a much clearer and more complete picture of what kids truly need from their parents. As I pieced together all of the information and tools I was learning around attachment, child development, neuroscience, nervous system science and more, my understanding of how important connection is for children deepened.

However, as I was trying to implement these tools into my own parenting, I was finding myself with a bit of building resentment and internal rage as I was trying to white-knuckle my way through gentle/responsive parenting. So, I turned inward.

I had the information.

I had the tools.

Now I needed to do some self-reflection to really understand what was getting in the way of being able to be the connected, confident, and joyful parent I longed to be. I looked at where I was at and where I wanted to be. I looked at my past and how it was influencing my present. I started doing some inner child and reparenting work. I reconnected with my Self and have experienced the beautiful sense of “coming home.”

As I integrated the inner work with the outer (the information & tools), I noticed I was beginning to be much more self-aware moment to moment. I was no longer white-knuckling my way through parenthood, but making choices from an empowered place.

I found more joy. I found more ease. I found more confidence.

And I’ve found deep connection and peace. Not just with my child, but also with myself.

Conscious parenting has been the greatest gift of my lifetime.

And through my own process, I’ve developed my signature S.E.T. for Conscious Parenting Method so that you can experience this too.
