Some Bedsharing Benefits

Bedsharing has some major benefits. One of the big ones is being able to respond to and nurse my baby in the middle of the night while still getting plenty of sleep.

When bedsharing, breastfeeding through the night becomes much less of an ordeal. The whole process only take about 10 seconds before I can start to doze off again.

A few things make the process so smooth to insure more sleep for all of us:
-By sleeping close to your baby, you are able to recognize their early cues for wanting to nurse (light stirring, small noises, etc)
-Being able to respond quickly to the early cues means that it’s possible your baby hardly wakes up at all
-Because you don’t have to get out of bed to respond to baby you will not wake up as fully.
-Not having to wait for baby to fall back asleep means you are able to fall back asleep much quicker.
