The Destination is in the Journey

Just a reminder that perfect parenting is never the goal because it is not a thing. Parenting is a process that is a constant and ongoing practice of reflection and growth.

One of the reasons I chose "Parenting in Process" as my business name is because it is a helpful reminder that we are always in process as parents. The ongoing process is the goal, not the race to the finish line.

Learning to value the process of parenting over the outcome gives you the opportunity to not only become more reflective and present in your day to day journey, but to break free from this unattainable goal of "perfect parenting." When you can sink into the feeling of parenthood as a process instead of a means to an end, you can better learn to listen to your intuitions and show up in your parent-child relationship in an authentic, more natural way.

Always remember..."the destination is in the journey."
